Daniel Craig Confirms Return For Bond 25; Says It Could Be His Last One

Though we have been getting updates that Daniel Craig is returning for the next Bond movie, Craig himself has officially announced his return to the franchise. What's weird though, is that it has been said that Craig is returning for two more movies, but Craig himself says that Bond 25 will be his last one.

Talking to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (via Variety), Craig confirmed that he will definitely be making his return for the next installment. When asked if it would be his last film, he says:

"I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note… I can't wait."

When asked about Craig's earlier comments about preferring to "slash his wrists" instead of returning for another Bond movie, Craig said he had the interview only two days after Spectre wrapped, saying that he was still quite exhausted when he was asked the question. He says:

"Instead of saying something with style and grace, I said something really stupid."

The way these Bond movies go, it would definitely make sense for Craig to pass the torch to someone else at some point in the future. Several actors have already taken up the role, and a lot of fans are already guessing on who will be the next James Bond after Daniel Craig.

For one, Idris Elba is a name that's been thrown around a lot, and some are also eager to see what Tom Hiddleston (Loki in the MCU) could possibly bring to the role.

For now, Daniel Craig has played James Bond for four movies, and Bond 25 will be his fifth. The movie is expected to hit theaters Nov. 8, 2019.
