Cyborg Actor Ray Fisher Assures Fans He's Not Leaving the Role

It's been a while since we've heard any updates on the DCEU's Cyborg movie, but actor Joe Morton has confirmed that it's still underway. A lot of speculation has been going around that Ray Fisher has quit the role after some cryptic posts on social media, but Fisher confirms that he is still onboard as the character and is still prepared to deliver.

Fisher posted this:

It's true that after the sour reception of Justice League, WB had to take a huge step back and restructure the DCEU—completely messing up release dates for announced films like Cyborg. If we're lucky, the movie might still be able to meet its 2020 release date.

Despite the backlash, I think a lot of people agree that every member of the Justice League was perfectly cast. Fisher brought something great with the Cyborg character, and I only wish that we got to see more of him in the film compared to what we actually got.

For now, the slate looks pretty full for the DCEU come 2019. Besides Wonder Woman 1984, you have the Shazam! movie. Joker is also set to come out October of next year. With any luck, we should know what's in store for 2020 before the year ends.

Cyborg was initially expected for a release in 2020.
