Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have Religious Factions ‘Even if They May Offend the Sensitivity of Some’

In a recent Polish press for Cyberpunk 2077, a CD Projekt Red representative has revealed new details about the upcoming game, and according to translations from the official forum, as pointed out by Neogaf, the RPG plans to go all out with its in-game subject matter.

"We will not avoid any subject, even if they may offend the sensitivity of some." The CD Projekt Red representative said. "Our vision of Cyberpunk is not to describe an alternative world but a continuity of our world."

"Some things will look like our current reality. For example, Christianity is present in the game and will even have a faction."

Just like many other open-world games, Cyberpunk 2077 will probably draw some controversy not just for its portrayal of certain religions. Night City is already populated by people from various groups and classes, and having religious factions in the game just adds to the realism that CD Projekt Red is creating in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.

Here's a description of the Cyberpunk 2077 game:

"Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character's cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you."

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 16, 2020.
