Cyberpunk 2077 Still on Track For September as CD Projekt RED Goes Remote in Response to Covid-19

CD Projekt RED, the developers of Cyberpunk 2077, has implemented a work from home policy to adapt to the ongoing COVID-19/Coronavirus outbreak. However, the studio has assured fans that Cyberpunk 2077 is still on track to be released in September 2020.

In CD Projekt RED's official Twitter account, the company wrote, "Over the past week, we have been adapting to the situation and gradually rolling out preventative measures across our entire organization. We've also been upgrading equipment & infrastructure and working towards enabling our employees to work remotely, from the safety of their homes."

CD Projekt Red says that its developers are switching to full remote work "for as long as it is needed." The company said that they're "rising to the challenge and showing no signs of stopping in our effort to bring you some kick-ass role-playing action in September."

Cyberpunk 2077 was originally scheduled to release in April, but the studio announced earlier this year that the launch date was pushed back because they needed more time for fixing, playtesting, and polishing the RPG.

Synopsis:

"Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character's cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you."

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 17, 2020.
