Twitter Insider @MyTimeToShineHello offered a cryptic update on her account, seemingly hinting at the identity of the caped crusader's next live-action villain. After tweeting out "OMG Batman news incoming", the oftentimes reputable tipster would then post an image of Donald Trump as Bane.

While the tweet left many quite confused because of the image the scooper posted, it seems to suggest that Bane will in fact be making his big-screen return after over 10 years. The character already had two cinematic outings, including Batman & Robin and The Dark Knight Rises.

Over the last couple of years, there's been a strong clamor from the DC fandom to see Bane be utilized once more, only this time, fans want to see a more faithful adaptation of the character far from the campy 1997 version and Tom Hardy's iteration who was more grounded.

The scooper didn't provide further details so we still don't know which universe Bane's next live-action iteration will fall into. It's worth mentioning though that Matt Reeves' The Batman - Part II is already confirmed to be bringing Clayface to the fold so there's a good chance Bane will actually be brought to James Gunn and Peter Safran's rebooted DC Universe via Batman: The Brave and The Bold.

Speaking of the new DCU, Superman: Legacy is currently scheduled to hit cinemas on July 11, 2025.
