Crunchyroll Delays Nearly All English Dub Releases, Including Vinland Saga, Blue Lock

While Winter 23 has already seen major anime delays, fans will have to put up with even more shows getting postponed. Recently, Crunchyroll announced that many of its ongoing English dub anime releases will be delayed, including Vinland Saga, Blue Lock, and more.

Thankfully though, these English dub delays won’t turn into long hiatuses.

Instead, their releases are just delayed for a couple of days due to inclement weather.

Crunchyroll English Dub Lineup

Winter 23 featured an unprecedented number of anime delays and hiatuses. For starters, NieR: Automata Ver1.1a was delayed following its third episode.

This was quickly followed by hiatus announcements for Ayakashi Triangle and Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible.

According to production company Aniplex, the delays are due to a rise in COVID-19 infections among staff members.

Though some have theorized that other production issues are also to blame.

Now, even Crunchyroll’s English dub lineup has experienced some delays. This news came via an official announcement by Crunchyroll, which shared the new release dates for the affected shows.

Unlike the Aniplex delays which were said to be because of COVID, the Crunchyroll English dub delays are due to inclement weather that has affected the Dallas area.

For reference, Texas is a major hotspot for anime dub recordings.

In total, 18 shows are affected by the delays. Here is the complete list of shows that are affected as well as the dates when their next episodes will be released:

  • My Hero Academia - Episode 129
  • The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World - Episode 3
  • Trigun Stampede - Episode 3
• February 12
  • By the Grace of the Gods Season 2 - Episode 3
  • Handyman Saito in Another World - Episode 3
• February 13
  • Vinland Saga Season 2 - Episode 3
• February 14
  • Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don’t Believe in Humanity will Save the World - Episode 3

Thankfully, pretty much all of these delays are fairly short, as we won’t have to wait until the Spring 2023 season to see their resumption.

Plus, fans still have the option of watching many of these shows in their original Japanese versions.
