Cowboy Bebop Voice Actor Hypes Up Ed's Live-Action Debut

We're only two weeks away from the premiere of the live-action Cowboy Bebop series and people are understandably hyped up for the upcoming Netflix show. Not surprisingly, even the voice actors who worked on the anime are looking forward to the new adaptation and Melissa Fahn is already excited about the new actor who will play Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivruski IV!

Fahn provided the English dub voice of Ed in the anime so it's understandable why she is eager to see her character come to life. While talking to Screenrant, Fahn pointed out that she is eager to support the live-action cast of the Cowboy Bebop adaptation.

"I think that's what it's all about as actors and about artists, you want to support each other and you want to lift each other up," Fahn said. "We have to feel good that what we've done in the genre, that what we've done with Cowboy Bebop, is something great. So much so that now they're doing a live-action version, and whatever that version is, it's going to be amazing. We have to honor what they're doing and say, 'Oh my God, that's fantastic.'"

Fahn then added that Ed is the one character she is looking forward to the most in the live-action series.

"I can't wait to see what they do, I can't wait to see what they're going to do with Edward, you know, that's like the big mystery, and I'm so excited to see what they do," Fahn said. She then added that the new Ed might be a little different from the anime but she's determined to support the character's live-action debut.

"I'm all for it and supporting it and I want them to succeed because if they succeed, we succeed and the whole family of Cowboy Bebop succeeds and I'm all for it," Fahn said.

Fahn is certainly hyping up Ed's arrival considering that the character is still the biggest mystery of the live-action Cowboy Bebop series. Netflix has not yet revealed who will be playing the young hacker although it was confirmed that Ed will appear in the show.

There are speculations that Ed will not be introduced in the first season of Cowboy Bebop as it could only adapt the first few episodes of the anime. However, several fans have also pointed out that characters from later episodes like Teddy Bomber and Pierrot Le Fou have appeared in the trailer. With that in mind, Ed's debut could still be happening this November.

Cowboy Bebop stars John Cho, Mustafa Shakir, Daniella Pineda, Alex Hassell, and Elena Satine. The series will premiere on Netflix on November 19, 2021.
