Cowboy Bebop Finally Reveals Radical Ed Live-Action Actor

The first season of Cowboy Bebop is finally here and fans are digging into the first ten episodes of the live-action series. So where is Ed? The show has officially answered everyone's question by introducing the young actor who plays Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivruski IV! SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

Fans have been worried that Radical Ed will not be featured in the Netflix series. After all, the Cowboy Bebop cast list doesn't reveal an actor playing the hacker and Ed hasn't appeared in any of the promos. To make up for all of that, the official Netflix Geeked Twitter account shared our first look at Ed in the series and even introduces the actor playing the character.

Radical Ed is portrayed by newcomer Eden Perkins and they only appear briefly in the first season of Cowboy Bebop. This might be the reason why Ed was not featured in the trailer. However, she does show up at an ideal time in the series which could mean we'll be seeing more of the hacker in the second season.

There's a good reason why Ed doesn't show up until the end of the first season. The live-action series actually changes a lot of the characters' storylines. For instance, Spike Spiegel and Jet Black meet Faye Valentine as they are all going after Asimov and Katerina. In the anime, the trio doesn't work together until the third episode Honky Tonk Women.

Since the adaptation makes interesting changes, Ed could play a larger role in Cowboy Bebop Season 2. In addition to that, the live-action series might change her story so she decides to stay with the Bebop (Ed leaves the Bebop with Ein in the anime's 24th episode). Hopefully, we'll get an official announcement about the second season soon.

The first season of Cowboy Bebop is now streaming on Netflix.
