While we know a bunch of returning characters in Disney+'s upcoming WandaVision, we're still in the dark on who Kathryn Hahn is playing. The cast list names her character simply as "Agnes", but it's possible that she could be playing a familiar character from the comics.
CBR reports that rumors have been going around that Hahn is actually playing the role of Agatha Harkness. In the comics, Agatha Harkness was said to be one of the oldest witches in Marvel continuity, and she had taken on the role of Scarlet Witch's mentor, teaching her magic and how to control her powers.
While this hasn't been officially confirmed, the clues are kind of everywhere. When Vision talks to Hahn's character in the car, Hahn is dressed like a witch. The name "Agnes" can also be derived from AGatha HarkNESs.
While not necessarily being a villain in the comics, we're not sure how Marvel will decide to utilize "Agnes" when it comes to WandaVision. Could she have some ulterior motives when it comes to Wanda's power? Or could she be in the league of Doctor Strange and want to help make sure that Wanda doesn't go out of control.
Personally, I would prefer it if there would be no villain in the series and just have Wanda dealing with her grief of losing Vision. I mean, if Marvel is going to be a bit more experimental with this show, they could at least go with a different ‘villain' angle.
WandaVision is rumored to be coming out this November on Disney+.
