Could Jeff Goldblum be in Taika Waititi's Star Wars?

Directors repeating work with the same actors is a tale as old as time from Christopher Nolan and Michael Caine to Wes Anderson and Bill Murray. Taika Waititi seems to have earned a new bond with Jeff Goldblum with their work on Thor: Ragnarok, and it's possible that Goldblum could be teaming up with the Kiwi director again soon.

As Goldblum has told Insider, he's been approached by Waititi for a ‘secret' project. When asked about the possibility of him appearing in The Mandalorian, Goldblum replied:

"I'm a fan of it! I'm a fan, of course, of Taika Waititi. I adore him, always did before I even worked with him, and maybe we'll do something again together… We've talked about doing something else that has to be secret right now but I would do anything with him, sure."

We don't really know what's the next project for Waititi, but seeing as Lucasfilm had hired him for a project, it's possible that he could bring Goldblum in for a Star Wars movie. Again, this is just speculation, but where else is Goldblum expected to appear, Akira?

Right now, I think Goldblum is in a pretty good position to appear in Star Wars. Besides playing the Grandmaster for Marvel, he's also teamed up with Disney+ for his reality show The World According to Jeff Goldblum. He only needs to be in Star Wars to complete the Disney trifecta.

Again, this is just speculation on the fans' part, but who wouldn't want Goldblum causing havoc as some kind of gangster in a galaxy far far away?

For now, the next big Star Wars property is The Mandalorian Season 2 and it comes to Disney+ this October.
