Could Hugh Jackman Be Preparing To Return As Wolverine?

Hugh Jackman might have said time and time again that he wouldn't be reprising his role as X-Men's Wolverine after the dramatic swan song he gave in Logan, but a new gym video has Marvel fans hoping that the Academy Award-nominated actor might actually be planning to give the fanbase a clawed surprise.

Jackman just recently decided to head over to Twitter to share a new video of himself doing workouts at the gym, and while the whole affair seems innocent enough, some have started to believe that Jackman could be toning up to make a surprise return as X-Men's James Howlett.

Check out Jackman's video down here:

While it isn't necessarily a surprise to see Jackman hitting the gym, his followers have started holding on to the suspicion that the actor might secretly be gearing up to reprise his role as Wolverine – nothing is more iconic than everyone's favorite regenerating mutant really. Besides, Jackman could be covering up all those times that he's turned down his best friend, 20th Century Fox's Ryan Reynolds.

The Deadpool actor has been persistently asking Jackman to return as Wolverine in a new Deadpool movie for a little team-up film with the Merc with a Mouth, but his best friend's denied him that time and time again.

Of course, this new video doesn't really mean that Jackman's ready to reprise his role. The actor just might be trying to keep his figure. Or he might be preparing for a new part in a new film. Word has it that the actor's up for a role in The Good Spy, but we can never really trust rumors online, now can we?

Fox's X-Men: Dark Phoenix is scheduled to premiere on June 7, 2019.
