Star Wars Legends might have been scrapped when Disney acquired Lucasfilm back in 2012, however, the House of Mouse's Star Wars franchise has been slowly integrating a few Legends characters Star Wars canon.
One of the most prominent characters to join Disney's official galaxy far, far away is Grand Admiral Thrawn, a Chiss Imperial leader who makes his canon debut in Star Wars Rebels.
Now, with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker marking the end of the Skywalker saga, Lucasfilm is developing all kinds of stories for the galaxy far, far away. The possibilities are endless, and some fans are hoping that a few other Legends characters might be introduced into Star Wars canon in the new Star Wars films and series.
That includes a few fan-favorite Legends Sith Lords, Darth Revan and Darth Malak.
Funko Pop just recently announced a new wave of Star Wars Funkos, and it seems like Darth Revan and Darth Malak are part of the mix. While these new Funko figures don't necessarily guarantee a place for Darth Revan and Malak in any future project of the Star Wars franchise, they do incite hope that the characters might make an appearance in a Star War film or series.
To the uninitiated, Revan was a powerful Sith Lord that played a major role in the Jedi Civil War, the Mandalorian War, and the Great Galactic War. The character was originally introduced in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Darth Malak was also introduced in the same game. Once the apprentice of Revan, Malak seized the title of Dark Lord of the Sith Empire from his master.
Though Malak has yet to be mentioned in Disney's Star Wars franchise, Revan has been mentioned in The Rise of Skywalker's art book.
It would definitely be interesting to have the two Sith Lords make their way into a Star Wars movie.
