Commander Legends Foil Magic: The Gathering Cards Reportedly Have A Quality Problem


Earlier this month, Wizards of the Coast released Commander Legends, the first-ever Magic: The Gathering Commander set designed to be drafted, but players who ordered the new product have recently reported that some of the foil cards from the set have a quality problem.

Over on Reddit and Twitter, some players who purchased Commander Legends shared some photos of curled foil cards from the new Commander set. As you can see in the photos below, they are curled up like Pringles potato chips:

Curled foils are nothing new: the foil sheet of Magic cards tends to curl or bend as it accumulates moisture in the air, and sometimes this can happen even before it leaves the manufcacturing plant, warping the card so it's easily distuishable from a non-foil.

Commander Legends was released worldwide on November 20, 2020.
