Code Boruto

In the recent chapters of Boruto, the titular ninja-hero is trying to stop Code from kidnapping Kawaki in the Konoha forest, using his Karma mark to tap into Momoshiki's power. But as he unleashes powerful moves like Shadow Clones and Rasengan bombs, Code is able to evade them, using his own teleportation bands to move all over the place.

Thinking that Code must be using a teleportation jutsu that relies on chakra, Boruto thinks he can use his Karma to absorb the black bands, but he can't absorb them because they have a secret component: iron, which is also found in Code's bloodstream, due to how his robotic body was created by Amado.

Since physical objects that exist outside of what shinobi creates won't go into Karma, this means that absorption is nullified because the bands don't rely on chakra. This is bad news for Boruto and Kawaki. Now that Boruto knows that his Karma won't be able to absorb Code's black bands, he will need something else to stop his enemy's technique.
