Coca-Cola Teams Up with Stranger Things 3 for This Retro Promo

The very first season of Stranger Things had a scene with Eleven reminiscing about being trained to crush a Coca-Cola can, and though it may not have been deliberate product placement at the time, the show has teamed up with Coca-Cola to bring us this fun retro ad.

Check it out:

While we get some clips of some of the main characters, the ad also takes us to the new Starcourt Mall, which will likely be where the climax of the season will take place—after all, one of the episodes is titled, The Battle of Starcourt Mall.

Just in case you're curious, there's also the scene where Eleven has some triggered memories after watching a Coke ad:

Though the earlier seasons' success were because of the likeability of the child actors, this third season is going to have them deal with growing up (since child actors don't stay children forever). By the looks of it, there's going to be a significant time jump, seeing as the show did skip out a season last year.

With Game of Thrones finally out of the way, Netflix has then jumped right on to promoting the release of Stranger Things 3. We got a new clip from yesterday, plus some character posters. Now we have this fun retro ad. Hopefully, we get a new full trailer soon seeing as the series is expected to come back this July.

Stranger Things 3 premieres on Netflix July 4.
