CNN Just Called The Walking Dead A Marvel Comic And Fans Are Not Having It

In case you missed it, The Walking Dead (the comic book, not the TV series) has come to an end. Interestingly, CNN reported about the comics' conclusion and somehow connected it to the return of Marvel Zombies. Which should be OK, except the outlet misidentified TWD as a Marvel comic book.

The report, which has since been corrected, had claimed that Marvel Comics is the publisher of The Walking Dead. There may have been some confusion about the Image Comics publication and Robert Kirkman's previous work with Marvel Zombies. Nevertheless, that didn't stop people from joking about the error on Twitter.

Interestingly, the CNN Twitter account's tweet hasn't edited the error. Check it out below.

"Just as Marvel Comics closed the books on ‘The Walking Dead,' the company revealed that it's bringing back another undead series: ‘Marvel Zombies,'" the tweet reads.

So what do people have to say about this? A lot, obviously.

The first tweets were referring to a recent petition that asked Netflix to cancel Good Omens, a show that actually streams on Amazon Prime.

Just in case you were wondering, Marvel did confirm that Marvel Zombies is returning in October. However, it has not yet been revealed whether Kirkman will be involved.

The Walking Dead concluded with Volume 32: Rest in Peace, which includes the final issue #193. It follows Carl Grimes after the death of his father Rick. The last issue was released on July 3.
