Cloak And Dagger Showrunner Disses Disney For Freeform Show's Cancellation

In case you missed it, Marvel's Cloak and Dagger has been cancelled after only two seasons. Not surprisingly, showrunner Joe Pokaski is disappointed about the idea and has lashed out at Disney for pulling the plug on the Freeform series.

Pokaski took to Twitter to air his grievances about the cancellation, admitting that he is furious at certain corporations that decided not to continue with Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson's story. Take a look at his tweet below.

"So, yeah. There are parts of me that feel gut-punched or angry at larger corporate forces, but the biggest feeling I have in my heart right now, by far, is pride. I'm so f--ing proud with what we got to do on," Pokaski wrote before adding the hashtag #Cloakanddagger.

Although he is upset about the cancellation, Pokaski went on to tweet about how proud he is with what Cloak and Dagger has accomplished. He also praised Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph for their performances as Tandy and Tyrone, respectively.

"We were blessed to cast the perfect actors for Tandy & Tyrone. I'd love to think that I passed on crazy knowledge onto these two kids as they grew into adults, but I learned more from @aubreyomari and @olivia_holt than they ever could from me," Pokaski wrote.

Interestingly, Pokaski teased on the possibility that we haven't seen the last of Cloak and Dagger just yet and there could be a chance that the duo would eventually cross over into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although we're all hoping this will happen soon, it's probably best not to hold your breath.

The second season of Cloak and Dagger concluded earlier this year.
