Expulsion is one thing that every Classroom of the Elite character must avoid. Sadly, not everyone can avoid this fate. So, here’s a list of who gets expelled in Classroom of the Elite.
The anime’s first two seasons dangled the threat of expulsion towards several characters, but there were no high-profile expulsions shown.
That will soon change as the anime’s third season will cover the later volumes of the light novel’s 1st Year arc. This part of the story will see unlucky characters get expelled.

What Happens When a Student Gets Expelled in Classroom of the Elite?
Classroom of the Elite's Advanced Nurturing High School spares no expense in preparing students to become Japan’s future leaders. Thus, students are in danger of getting expelled if they don’t perform well.
A student who fails to meet a required score in the midterm or final exam will be expelled. The expelled student won’t just be the one to suffer as the class they’re in will also get a penalty.
If someone in a class gets expelled, that class gets a point penalty. On the flip side, students in a class can spend private points to save someone from expulsion.

Who Gets Expelled in Classroom of the Elite? The Students So Far
Currently, here are the four confirmed students who have been expelled in the series:
- Yahiko Totsuka (Class 1-A) – Expelled after getting the highest number of censure votes after the special exam.
- Shiho Manabe (Class 1-C) – Also got the highest number of censure votes in her class following the events in volume 10.
- Haruki Yamauchi (Class 1-D) – Considered one of Class D’s 3 Idiots, Yamauchi was expelled after getting deceived by Arisu Sakayanagi and subsequently getting the most censure votes.
- Airi Sakura (Class 2-D) – Sakura gets expelled in the 2nd Year arc after a nomination from Kiyotaka. Unlike the others, she did not mind the expulsion as she moved on to continue her idol track.
Aside from these four, there have also been many unnamed characters that have been expelled. For instance, Miyabi Nagumo is said to have been the reason over a dozen students have been expelled.
There’s also Akane Tachibana of Class 3-A who almost got expelled in volume 8’s events. She was saved from expulsion after her class agreed to pay the required number of points.
As three of the four character expulsions happen in volume 10, the ongoing Classroom of the Elite season 3 should cover these events.
