Classic Kree Villain Confirmed for Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel is a pretty ambitious film, even though it might not seem like it. Not only does the movie have to tell us Carol Danvers' origin, but it also has to show us the Kree/Skrull War and why these two races are at war. Add the amnesia angle and the fact that this movie takes place before a lot of Marvel films and we have one of the more interesting MCU films coming out.

The trailers have confirmed a number of characters who will be appearing, including Minn-Erva, Ronan the Accuser, Phil Coulson, and Jude Law's "mysterious" character. However, producer Jonathan Schwartz confirmed a classic Kree character who hasn't been seen yet; the Supreme Intelligence.

Schwartz told ComicBook.com that the character was in it, stating that "Part of the fun of the Kree world is establishing the Supreme Intelligence. I don't think you could do Hala without it." Sadly, no other details were given outside of that but his appearance should be a visual treat if done correctly.

While not the most well-known name to Marvel fans, Supreme Intelligence has actually been a part of several Kree-related storylines, often scheming something with villains to give our heroes trouble. Technically a supercomputer, he's often drawn as a really big head stuck in a tube and it will be interesting to see how this character looks in a cinema.

Captain Marvel comes out on March 8.
