Just when it seemed like things were getting back to normal, Warner Bros. has announced that Christopher Nolan's highly-anticipated Tenet has been removed from its current schedule. The movie was supposed to come out on July 17 and later delayed to July 31, before getting moved again to sometime in August but now it has just been removed.

In a statement released from Warner Bros. chairman Toby Emmerich, the studio has promised to announce a 2020 release date sometime later. The studio is determined to release this film sometime this year so that's somewhat encouraging if anything else. We're pretty happy that Warner Bros. is choosing to prioritize the health of people over making but it's still sad to see this happen.

"We will share a new 2020 release date imminently for Tenet, Christopher Nolan's wholly original and mind-blowing feature. We are not treating Tenet like a traditional global day-and-date release, and our upcoming marketing and distribution plans will reflect that."

Tenet is a spy thriller from Nolan and we were all looking forward to seeing how he would handle this movie after a great number of hits like Interstellar and Dunkirk. Of course, most DC fans also know that he directed the acclaimed Dark Knight trilogy, while also producing the mix-reviewed Man of Steel that Zack Snyder directed.

Expect a new Tenet release date sooner or later. Here's hoping that the movie won't get delayed until 2021.
