With a Green Lantern HBO Max series and a Green Lantern Corps movie in development, there have been speculations about whether or not John Stewart will make his way in any of these projects. Tenet star John David Washington is a clear fan-favorite for the role, and it looks like The Dark Knight Trilogy director is on-board with the idea as well.

In a recent interview with Geeks of Color, both Washington and Nolan were asked if they would like to reunite for a Green Lantern film. Using a fan-art from BossLogic to visualize what he could look like in the part, the actor passed the question over to Nolan.

The director made it clear that he no longer has an interest in directing superhero films, but he thinks Washington would make a great Green Lantern. "I think my DC days are over," he said. "But I think he would be an excellent choice. He certainly gets my vote."

With a growing number of fans campaigning for the Tenet star, Nolan giving his vote, and Washington clearly on the rise, it'd be interesting to see him take on a role in a superhero franchise. After all, both the Green Lantern series and movie have yet to reveal its cast, so there's still a possibility for Washington to portray John Stewart in any of these projects.
