There is little doubt that people are already excited about Thor: Love and Thunder after it was confirmed that Christian Bale will be playing the main villain in the highly anticipated sequel. But which comic book villain will the American Psycho star play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick? A new report suggests that it could be a baddie who might be a perfect fit for Taika Waititi's sense of humor.

The report from Heroic Hollywood explores three different Marvel characters that could be portrayed by Bale in Love and Thunder. Not surprisingly, the first possibility is Mephisto, who is basically the devil himself in the Marvel Universe. However, the outlet also pointed out that Mephisto might be a bad choice since the MCU seems to be avoiding any religious connection. Nevertheless, Waititi might still find a way to write around that obstacle.

The second option is Gorr the God Butcher, who once again has a religious backstory in the comics but is also more likely to appear in the MCU. After all, he's battled Thor several times in the comic books and has a story arc suited for the MCU. However, it seems that Bale could actually portray a more exciting character in Love and Thunder.

It is believed that Dario Agger aka Minotaur could be the villain that Bale will play in the fourth Thor film. Agger is the CEO of the Roxxon Energy Corporation in the comics and he ruthlessly uses up all of the Earth's resources. That alone should make him the most evil character in the MCU but his humor seems to be a good match for Waititi's style as well. Needless to say, this is the one baddie we are already expecting to see in Love and Thunder.

It is important to point out that Marvel Studios has not yet revealed Bale's character in the film. With that in mind, it's best to take this with a grain of salt.
