Chris Pratt recently opened up about his return as Star-Lord in the MCU and his potential DCU involvement as fans continue to speculate about his superhero future.
The actor's MCU future continues to be in question as his future as Star-Lord remains unknown despite the post-credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 revealing that he will be returning in a future project soon.
Fans have also been speculating about his DCU future as Pratt has expressed interest in joining the franchise. He also visited the Superman set recently which ignited the rumors of his involvement even further.
Chris Pratt on Star-Lord Return and Joining the DCU
In a recent interview, Pratt addressed his return as Star-Lord in the MCU and potentially joining the DCU and reuniting with Gunn.
He iterated his previous stance that he is open to joining the DCU while continuing to play Star-Lord despite the lack of updates at the moment regarding his MCU future.
"If it could fit into my schedule and it made sense, I would love it. Of course, I love playing Star-Lord, and hopefully there's a chance that I can come back," the Guardians of the Galaxy star said.
"I just feel so blessed to be able to do any of it, to be considered for any of it. If it's right and the fans would love it, I'd be more than happy to do it."
Regarding his potential DCU role, Pratt does not have any particular character in mind as he is letting Gunn decide on what he could play in the franchise.
"I just have to leave that to the fans and people like James to decide. I'm not exactly sure. I'm truly not sure," he said.
It would be ideal for most fans to see Pratt do both superhero franchises at the same time since he has become beloved as Star-Lord while they also want to see him step into the DC universe whether it's Booster Gold or another hero.
While his Star-Lord future remains uncertain, we will likely be hearing more details about his return during Marvel Studios' upcoming SDCC Hall H presentation where they are expected to unveil the MCU's future.
The most likely scenario at this point is that Pratt's Star-Lord might join the upcoming Avengers movies and temporarily become part of the team. For now, let's wait and see what Marvel Studios has in store for his future.
