Harrison Ford is making his triumphant return as everyone's favorite archeologist Indiana Jones over a decade after the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. According to reports, the fifth sequel is expected to be Ford's final outing as Indy but it looks like Lucasfilm is already thinking about rebooting the franchise.
In case you didn't know, Marvel actor Chris Pratt has long been rumored to become the next Indiana Jones after Ford steps down from the role. The Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World: Dominion star has tried his best to dodge the subject on numerous occasions and unsurprisingly played coy on the said rumors anew.
Speaking with MTV News correspondent Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Pratt denied that he's been in talks with director Steven Spielberg about potentially taking over the role from the Star Wars legend.
Pratt jokingly said: "I don't even know who Steven Spielberg is. Who? Steven Who?" The Star-Lord actor would then debunk the rumors and said he's "scared" of the idea. He continued: "No, aren't they doing Indiana Jones with Harrison Ford? All I know is I once saw a quote from Harrison Ford and I don't even know if it was really him but it was enough to scare me, that was like, 'When I die, Indiana Jones dies.' And I'm like, am I gonna get haunted by the ghost of Harrison Ford one day when he dies if I play...?"

I mean, Pratt does have the chops to be a believable Indiana Jones but I think it's a little too early to reintroduce the character or even do a spinoff project involving him.
The fifth Indiana Jones film is slated for release on June 30, 2023.
