Chris Miller Shares New Image from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Though some people may be scratching their heads over Sony's Venom movie, a lot of people have come to show support for the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The film looks amazing so far, and Chris Miller has shared us this new image from Entertainment Weekly.

We know that Peter Parker's Spider-Man shows up in the film, but it's curious who he's facing off with here. My best guess is that it's going to be the Prowler, Miles Morales criminal uncle who is somehow also responsible for getting Miles his powers in the first place.

Fun fact: Donald Glover plays Aaron Davis (a.k.a. Prowler) in Spider-Man: Homecoming. He also mentions that he has a nephew, so we know that Miles exists at some point in the MCU.

With the introduction of this multi-dimensional Spider-Verse, I'm actually excited to see where Sony can take the franchise (save for spinoffs focused on Spidey villains). Maybe, this multi-dimension bit can even link to the live-action worlds, and we could see a reunion of Spider-Men from Toby Maguire all up to Tom Holland.

Catch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse when it hits theaters Dec. 14.
