Chris Hemsworth Says He Would Love To Join Star Wars

Brie Larson isn't the only Marvel star who wants to become a Jedi. It looks like Thor: Ragnarok star Chris Hemsworth wants to join Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away too.

Though the Marvel star might still have more work to do in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as everyone's favorite Asgardian God of Thunder, the actor would love to join the Star Wars franchise.

Hemsworth spoke with fans during his panel at this year's ACE Comic Con Midwest over the weekend (via ComicBook.com), and during the event, the actor was asked whether he'd want to join the Star Wars franchise in any sort of capacity. Hemsworth was asked whether he would want to join Jon Favreau's upcoming Disney+ series, The Mandalorian, or if he wanted to be in Lucasfilm's future Star Wars movies.

The actor's answer was a straight yes, saying that he loves Star Wars as much as any regular fan.

"Oh yeah, I'd love to," Hemsworth responded. "I'm not sure there's many people that'd say they wouldn't want to be a part of that world, you know and especially having it be something I've grown up with like all of us here, probably, it'd be like a fan experience as opposed to being an actor and that's the fun thing at this point of cinema and my career."

It would be a hoot to see Hemsworth join Star Wars. The Australian actor has a whole lot of charm and charisma. We're sure he'd bring a lot to the table if he were to join a new Star Wars movie or series. The actor has had some sci-fi experience too – he's made a few appearances as Captain Kirk's father in the modern Star Trek film series. He's even appeared in Men in Black International, though the film didn't do really good.
