Chris Hemsworth Reveals Thor: Ragnarok Co-Star is His Favorite Actress

In just less than one month of anticipation, the long-awaited Thor: Love and Thunder finally arrives in theaters. Aside from Chris Hemsworth's return as the fan-beloved God of Thunder, the upcoming film will also highlight Natalie Portman's Jane Foster as Lady Thor, and the arrival of Christian Bale's menacing villain Gorr The God Butcher.

Hemsworth has played Thor for more than a decade now, and his Marvel role definitely helped Hemsworth grow as an actor. He also had the opportunity to work with several A-list actors like Emily Blunt, Charlize Theron, and Dakota Johnson throughout his lifelong career. However, in a recent interview, Hemsworth unveiled that his favorite actor is no other than his Thor: Ragnarok co-star Cate Blanchett.

In an interview with WIRED Web's Most Searched Questions segment, Thor: Love and Thunder star Chris Hemsworth responded to a bunch of questions including about his favorite actor.

"Ooh the pressure. Cate Blanchett, I worked with on 'Ragnarok'," the actor revealed. "It's pretty hard to go by, you know, being an Australian, a fellow Aussie, someone I've looked up to for many years, many years, and has its been in some of my favorite films, played some of the best characters on screen and continues to do it with such grace and integrity and has a wonderful sense of humor and warmth and is kind and supportive. She's brilliant."

Well, who doesn't love Cate Blanchett? Marvel Studios' decision to cast Blanchett in the role of Hela was one of the many great casting choices of the franchise. After appearing as Thor's extremely powerful villainous sister, Hela instantly gained a massive fandom in the Marvel world. However, as much as fans would love Blanchett's villain more in the MCU, Hela faced a gruesome fate at the hands of Surtur at the end of the film.

Thankfully, the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder would introduce a new villain that might be more powerful than Hela, with Christian Bale's arrival as Gorr The God Butcher. After Blanchett set a gold standard as a villain for a Thor film, Bale undoubtedly has big shoes to fill.

Thor: Love and Thunder will hit the big screens on July 8.
