Chris Evans Talks About The Last Line He Filmed For Avengers 4

Marvel stars like Chris Evans might not be allowed to give away any specific details about upcoming movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe like Avengers 4, but it looks like the Captain America star couldn't help but tease the last line he filmed for the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War.

Together with Lee Pace and Karen Gillan, Evans just recently attended this year's ACE Comic Con (via ComicBook.Com) to help promote the upcoming Avengers 4. While speaking with fans about the movie in a panel at the convention, the actor was asked about the very last line he said in the movie, and while the actor admits he can't give the line away, he said something very dumb and stupid.

"It was something really stupid, it was something really dumb. Which I also probably can't give away," Evans told the audience hoping that they might be able to get something juicy out of the Captain America star.

Though the actor did his best to keep from mentioning specifics, Evans did say that the line can be heard during a scene that he shares with Ant-Man actor, Paul Rudd.

"Well, you know, it was reshoots, so you're doing these little picks and pops, and it's just little things that they need," Evans explained to the audience. "It might have been a line to Paul Rudd. He wasn't there, but it was a stupid line. The line wasn't memorable to me [laughs]. The day was more memorable than the line."

Of course, fans shouldn't expect this line to be the very last line Evans has in the movie. Movie productions don't film scenes in a linear, consecutive fashion. Instead, the production works on the convenience of everyone's schedule and the logistical feasibility of each scene. Besides, the line was taken during a reshoot, so it's possible that this specific scene comes from the middle of the movie.

Marvel wouldn't downplay the sacrifice Cap is expected to make in Avengers 4 by adding a bit of levity to his lines.

Avengers 4 is set to premiere on May 3, 2019.
