Though the MCU has been going on for 10 years, it’s only this March where we’ll be having a woman front and center with Captain Marvel. A charity has come up on Go Fund Me to send little girls to watch the film, and Captain America himself has stepped up to help.

Though some people may scoff at the concept of representation in cinema, it has proven to be very effective to the audience that matters the most—children. A lot of young girls celebrated when they finally had a superhero to call their own when Wonder Woman came out, and the black community was ecstatic when the MCU released Black Panther.
No doubt there is going to be another minority of little girls who will be able to relate Captain Marvel to themselves when they watch the film.
The internet is currently buzzing about Spider-Man: Far from Home right now, but Marvel will soon be hard at work marketing the release of Captain Marvel. While the hype doesn’t feel as big as Endgame, I’m sure the film will blow a lot of people away when it finally hits cinemas.
