From Kdramas and movies, Choi Woo Shik is selected as a brand ambassador for TikTok.

While some Korean celebrities use the app to communicate with their followers, the actor is representing the platform for a good cause.

Choi Woo Shik is TikTok’s Newest Ambassador

According to a report, TikTok South Korea tapped Choi Woo Shik to help the brand reach a wider scope of audience and promote safe usage of the video-sharing app.

The video starts with Choi Woo Shik sharing his experience and saying, “I’m not that good at playing.”

It was then followed by the actor learning the function of the app through its recommended feed that features different contents according to his liking.

Interestingly, the video also highlights how TikTok is user-friendly with Choi Woo Shik understanding the app’s functional services and entertainment that it could give to the user.

In the same outlet, TikTok South Korea shared how the company values “respect” and individuality among users, and through the help of Choi Woo Shik, it could convey the message to millions of users.

“This video sends a message that we respect users’ different tastes, information, and privacy,” a representative of TikTok explained, adding “We wanted to let TikTok know that we respect all users’ tastes and situations.”

Like Instagram, Twitter, and other social media, TikTok has now become a tool for celebrities to entertain and reach out to fans.

Korean celebrities like Lee Yi Kyung, Super Junior’s Choi Siwon, Sweet Home actress Lee Si Young, Hallyu star Rain and more are very much active on TikTok.

On the other hand, apart from being TikTok’s ambassador, Choi Woo Shik is in talks to return to Kdrama.

Choi Woo Shik’s New Drama: Courted to Star in Murder DIEary

After the triumphant finale of Our Beloved Summer with Kim Da Mi, the 32-year-old South Korean heartthrob was offered to headline the cast of an upcoming Netflix series.

Murder DIEary is a webtoon-based series helmed by Strangers from Hell and The Vanished director Lee Chang Hee.

It is a thriller comedy series that follows the story of college student Lee Tang played by Choi Woo Shik.

However, during one of his shifts, he gets into an argument and accidentally kills a customer. Because of extreme guilt and shock, he goes into hiding.

He then learned that the person he killed was a serial killer. Interestingly he also acquired a superpower that detects bad guys.

From being an ordinary student, he then becomes the dark hero who punishes the criminals.

Joining Choi Woo Shik as a lead star is Son Seok Koo, who is set to play Detective Jang Nan Gam
