There is little doubt that fans are already expecting Chloe Bennet to return as Daisy Johnson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There have been speculations that Daisy is supposed to be part of the very secretive new series Marvel's Secret Invasion.

So is it true that Bennet is part of the highly anticipated Disney+ show? The former Powerpuff Girls star has finally broken her silence and addressed her involvement in the new MCU series.

Bennet recently shared several stories on her Instagram account. In one particular video, she decided to talk about something that people have been bugging her about for some time now.

"I have avoided saying anything like this in general, on social media or whatever, because I thought maybe it would blow over, but it has not. I am in no way attached or involved, even at all or a little bit, in the Secret Invasion Marvel thing. I honestly don't even know really what that is," Bennet said.

She also added that she decided to address the issue because people wouldn't stop asking her about it.

"I am only coming on here to say this because it has gotten to the point that every day I'm getting hundreds of messages about this. I'm now getting like approached in person," she said. "Today it was in the tampon aisle at target."

It's disappointing to learn that Bennet isn't going to be in Secret Invasion but some fans are still unconvinced and claiming that the Agents of SHIELD actress is giving us a misdirection. With that in mind, we'll have to wait until there are new updates on the series.

Marvel's Secret Invasion will bring back Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos. The series will also star Kingsley Ben-Adir as the lead villain while Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Killian Scott, and Christopher McDonald have been cast in undisclosed roles.

Secret Invasion has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is already expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2022.
