Chicago PD has been running for six years, and fans have been shipping different characters from the series. In a recent episode of Chicago PD Season 9, Detective Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) proposed to Detective Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos).

Hailey Upton and Jay Halstead have been working together on several missions. The duo is popularly known as "Upstead" from their last names Upton and Halstead. They have been there looking out at each other. It's noticeable how much they care for each other. So, when Jay confessed his feelings to Hailey, many were not surprised. But despite that, many aren't sure about the two having a happy ending together.

Another viewer pointed out that their romance was too fast. They just started dating, and they are suddenly engaged. "That's never gonna work out," the third user added.

Meanwhile, an Upstead supporter slammed their critics. According to @CpdHalstudFan, Jay has been in love with Hailey for years. His feelings for her have been evident since season 6.

Kim survives and returns to work in Chicago PD Season 9

Meanwhile, Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) is alive and will return to work. However, it seems that she is still not mentally and emotionally ready for the job.

In the spoiler, she asks her colleague if she will be reassigned to doing a desk job. It's not the job she wants. Kim wants to be out in the street.

Fans should watch out how the last incident that almost killed Kim would affect her performance. Squerciati) hinted earlier that her character will be fighting a darker side of herself.
