Though the DCEU may have taken a brief hiatus after Justice League, the franchise is still in full swing, and the Flash movie is officially underway. Though his costume in the movies looks kind of ragtag and cobbled together, a concept artist from the film Jerad Marantz has shared this image of a more streamlined outfit.

Probably the element that stayed the same was the shape of the cowl, but when you look at the final product, there look to be more pieces to Barry's costume, and even straps that look to hold the entire outfit together. The movie also decided to go with fingerless gloves, which I think look pretty fine.
It was rumored that Batman was supposed to give Flash an upgraded costume in Justice League, but considering all the reshoots that took place, there was probably a change in plans. Billionaire giving the young superhero an upgraded suit? Kind of sounds like Tony Stark handing Peter Parker his upgraded Spider-Man outfit in Civil War.
Isn't it also neat that the Flash solo film is being directed by the guys who wrote Spider-Man: Homecoming?
If anything, the Flash was a breath of fresh air for Justice League. Sure the movie was kind of a mess, but no doubt the characterizations were wonderful. Ezra Miller stands out as the young jokester of the Justice League. Then again, everyone loves the comic relief in any team-up.
No release date has been set for The Flash, but with the movie aiming to start production next year, we could be looking at a release in 2020.
