2013 saw the release of Man of Steel, and four years later, we saw the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. What's interesting is, both films had protagonists trying to learn the extent of their powers, and someone has noticed there are similarities between Rey finding her power with the Force, and Superman's first flight in MoS.

At best, the similarities are coincidental, but it is a pretty neat Easter Egg. Say what you will about Zack Snyder, but he is fantastic when it comes to visuals. There are still scenes in Man of Steel that give me chills everytime I watch them.
For now, Star Wars Episode IX is set to start production this July, and hopefully Lucasfilm gives us a bit of a teaser on what to expect. Though some consider The Last Jedi to be divisive, it has been proven that most of the feedback for the movie has actually been pretty positive.
As for the DCEU, everything was put on hold temporarily to solidify the franchise direction after Justice League. The gears seem to be spinning again, however, and we could be looking at a release of four DC films next year. At least, that's my guess.
Star Wars Episode IX comes out Dec. 20, 2019, and Aquaman releases Dec. 20 of this year.
