Check Out Disney's TRON Lightscycle Ride; Attraction Coming To Walt Disney World

Though it wasn't a critical success, there's no denying that 2010's TRON: Legacy was nothing short of a spectacle. The visuals and world were just amazing, and apparently Disney World agrees.

According to Inside the Magic, the TRON rollercoaster ride from Disneyland Shanghai is coming to Walt Disney World in Florida, and it's set for a 2021 release date—just in time for Disney World's 50th Anniversary.

If you want an idea on what the ride could look like, check out these clips from Disneyland Shanghai:

The ride looks fantastic, and with it coming to Disney World, I think they're going to make it an even bigger spectacle to give it a bigger ‘wow' factor. Then again, that's just my guess.

There has been a lot of clamoring for a TRON 3, but as of now, it looks like the project is in development hell. With the release of the ride, however, maybe interest in the franchise could be renewed again. I'd definitely want to come back to the world of the Grid—but with a better story this time around. Besides, if a ride like Pirates of the Caribbean can be a million-dollar movie franchise, why can't TRON?

The TRON Lightcycle Power Run is set to come to Disney World in 2021.
