During a recent livestream by Kadokawa imprint Fantasia Bunko, a new I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World anime was confirmed to be in the works.
This new anime was one of the main highlights of the Fantasia Bunko Dai Kanshasai Online 2023 livestream which happened on Saturday, October 14.
Following the announcement, the light novel’s illustrator celebrated the reveal by releasing a new illustration of Lexia von Arselia. At this point, this is the only new detail shared regarding the upcoming anime.
Cheat Skill Illustrator Celebrates New Announcement With Special Illustration
I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too is an isekai anime by Millepensee, the studio behind shows like So I’m a Spider, So What? and the 2016 Berserk series.
This anime aired in the stacked Spring 23 series. It may have been overshadowed by shows like Oshi no Ko and Demon Slayer, but it seemed to have been successful enough that a new anime project has been greenlit.
In celebration, the original light novel’s illustrator, Rein Kuwashima, shared this special illustration of Lexia Von Arselia, one of the protagonist’s love interests.
Lexia is one of the show’s main characters, and she has arguably the most distinct and memorable design due to her status as the princess of the kingdom of Arselia – the world where the protagonist Yuya finds a portal to.
Because of this, it makes sense that Lexia is the star of the celebratory illustration. As for her role in the upcoming anime, that remains to be seen.

I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World to Continue With New Anime
Fantasia Bunko’s livestream revealed that a new I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World anime is in the works, but there were no details revealed regarding what exactly this anime will be.
Given that it wasn’t explicitly called a new season, the new anime may just be an OVA series or a compilation release.
Fans may have to wait a while before new details are revealed though. After all, shows like Lycoris Recoil and My Dress-Up Darling from 2022 have gotten new anime announcements, but there are still no updates until now.
On the bright side, fans who enjoyed this isekai anime can at least look forward to more projects in the future.
