Charlie Cox Says MCU Character Popping Up In Daredevil Season 3 Is “A Secret”

Fans have been hoping for a crossover between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Marvel Netflix universe for quite some time now, however time and time again they all end up breaking their hearts after Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige gives seemingly pessimistic answers to the crossover suggestions.

Things might change for the better though, because it seems like a recent answer by Daredevil star Charlie Cox is hinting the possibility of an Avengers star appearing in a future episode of the Marvel Netflix series.

Cox appeared in a panel at the ACE Comic-Con this weekend, and when asked whether any of the MCU characters would pop up in Daredevil, the actor gave a vague answer that could hint at the possibility of an appearance.

"I'm afraid I can't tell you that at all," answered Cox. "That is a secret."

The Marvel Netflix star then asked the young fan which MCU character he'd want to see in the next season of Daredevil. The answer: Iron Man, of course. While the odds of having Robert Downey Jr. on the series might be extremely low, Cox gave a big smile after hearing that the fan wanted Tony Stark making a cameo on Daredevil.

"I think he's quite cheap to get as well," the actor said jokingly, "I'm sure we can figure that out. His daily rate is like way low."

While fans shouldn't get their hopes up too high, a minor Marvel star might be able to pop up in Daredevil. Who knows? Let's just wait and see.

Daredevil season 3 is expected to premiere sometime in 2018 on Netflix.
