Charlie Cox may look like a relative newcomer to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to casual fans but the actor has been part of the Marvel family longer than some of their current favorites. It's only now that Cox is being given his big MCU break but a lot of uncertainty shrouds Daredevil's true canon status. While some people are convinced that the Matt Murdock from the hit Netflix series is the same guy as the one who made a cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, others are not quite sure.
Now, the English actor is weighing in on Netflix's Daredevil show being MCU canon all along and if you'd ask him, the answer might lie in the title of his upcoming project. Speaking with ScreenRant, the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star pointed out how Daredevil: Born Again is being presented as its own entity rather than a continuation of the Netflix show.
Cox said: "Yeah, I don’t know. But my instinct is based on the name of the show, it’s called Born Again, the fact… that Kevin [Feige] talks about it as being a Season 1, rather than a Season 4, my feeling is, this is a whole new deal, you know?"

While the Netflix Marvel shows are undoubtedly great, I think it's a good idea that Kevin Feige is treating Daredevil: Born Again as a reboot of sorts because that way, casual fans won't have to sit through multiple seasons of the original Daredevil series just to understand what's going on. Although that show, of course, is still essential.
Charlie Cox will return as the Man Without Fear in Daredevil: Born Again which is expected to release in Spring 2024
