Character Breakdown for Animated MODOK Series from Hulu

We may be getting a new string of Marvel shows with Disney+, but Hulu is pushing forward with an animated series based on one of Marvel's most popular villains, MODOK. We've known for a while that Patton Oswalt will be providing the voice of the lead, but he just got joined by a bunch of new faces (or rather voices)

According to Deadline, Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog, Parks and Recreation) will be joining the cast of the show, as well as the likes of Sam Richardson (Veep), Wendy McLendon-Covey (Reno 911), and Aimee Garcia (Lucifer). Other cast members previously announced for the show include Beck Bennett who is playing as well as Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Jon Daly (Curb Your Enthusiasm).

MODOK's EP Jordan Blum had this to say about the cast, "I'm blown away by our insanely talented and hilarious voice cast, who have all brought their specific kind of magic to this weird and wonderful corner of the Marvel Universe."

Here's a breakdown of the characters:

Jodie (Aimee Garcia)– MODOK's wife and mother to his children, who is on a journey to becoming ‘an independent woman in her forties.'

Lou and Melissa (Ben Schwartz and Melissa Fumero)– MODOK's children. Lou is a bit of a slacker with Melissa being the popular kid who is secretly looking for the approval of her father.

Monica Rappaccini(Wendy McLendon-Covey) – MODOK's mad scientist rival at AIM

Super Adaptoid (Jon Daly)- MODOK's snarky android assistant

Gary (Sam Richardson)– a loyal AIM henchman who works for MODOK

Austin Van Der Sleet (Beck Bennett)– A ‘post-merger-integration-consultant' who works for GRUMBL, the company that bought AIM; and MODOK's new boss.

With Harley Quinn being the big adult-oriented animated comic book show, I'm very interested to see what MODOK will bring to the table. Since it's coming out on Hulu, I'm crossing my fingers it won't be too PG. Add to that I'm hoping that there's room to introduce Gwenpool, who had been hired as a henchman of MODOK in her own comic.

No release date has been set for MODOK.
