Rumor: Chaos Walking Trailer Could be Released This October

It may be a while before we get to see the sequel to Edge of Tomorrow, but director Doug Liman has kept himself busy with this film called Chaos Walking. The movie had been delayed due to heavy reshoots, but rumor has it that we could be getting a new trailer soon.

As per producer Nina Jacobson (via @chaaoswalknews), the first trailer is expected to release sometime between October and November 2018. The release window of the trailer does make sense since the movie is aiming to hit theaters March of next year.

Besides having Liman as director, Chaos Walking has a lot of great names attached to it. The screenplay is provided by none other than Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Anomalisa), and it stars Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming). Not to mention you have a villain played by the wonderful Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal).

Here's the synopsis:

From Carnegie Award-winning writer Patrick Ness comes the story of Todd Hewitt (Holland) who lives on the distant planet of New World-a new hope for humanity until struck by "The Noise," a virus which inflicts immersive visions of ones' every thought. The cacophony drives many mad until Todd makes a hidden, silent discovery: there is a girl named Viola (Ridley), who may be the key to unlocking New World's many layered secrets. Together, the two unlikely companions are forced on a white-knuckle adventure into an unexplored planet - trying to escape and hide in an environment where all thoughts are heard, all movements are seen -as they both discover the truth about the lives they left behind and the spectacular world they've learned to call home.

Catch Chaos Walking in theaters March 1, 2019.
