This is an impressive feat as the Harvey Awards is one of the most prestigious awards in the comic industry in the West. The award also makes Chainsaw Man the only manga to get awarded thrice in succession.
Many fans believe that it deserves the award, though others think that another title should have been honored instead.
Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Popular Work Gets Awarded Once Again
Among Shueisha’s many hit manga, Chainsaw Man stands out for its many unique qualities. For starters, this manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto is incredibly dark and violent, all while having some dark comedy thrown in.
It’s also a manga with a surprising amount of thematic depth, not to mention that its unique cast stands out in today’s shonen landscape.
Because of these, it’s no surprise that Chainsaw Man continues to be one of the most popular and most acclaimed ongoing manga titles.
Aside from being a trending topic on X (formerly Twitter) whenever a new chapter is released, Fujimoto’s manga is also a certified bestseller. It has over 26 million copies sold as of August 2023.
Sales aside, the series has also been critically acclaimed. After all, the manga has been honored as the Best Manga in the Harvey Awards thrice now.

Fans Are Split on Chainsaw Man’s Third Harvey Award Win in a Row
Following the reveal of its Best Manga award win, many fans of the series reacted positively to the news online.
Many are in agreement that Fujimoto is deserving of the award as he continues to top himself in Chainsaw Man Part 2. After all, the manga’s current events are wild and hard to predict.
On the flip side, some manga readers believe that while Chainsaw Man is a good manga, the award should have been given to another series.
So far, it seems that reactions to the series’ win are split. Both sides do have compelling arguments though, as the manga is indeed a stand-out, but other titles are also worthy of praise.
