In a surprising announcement made at the stage event of Chainsaw Man during Jump Festa’24, Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga will have a sequel movie entitled Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc.
Instead of getting a second-season TV anime adaptation, fans will have to watch Reze’s anime debut in theaters. This announcement was received with mixed reactions, given how the fans have been looking forward to a second season since 2022.
Nonetheless, Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc will officially introduce Reze, the bomb-devil hybrid who’s out to steal Denji’s heart. She came from the USSR, and her appearance will have a huge impact on Denji’s personal life.
Denji has a tendency to like any woman who shows him affection, and Reze is not an exception. After they come across each other in a telephone booth, Denji pursues Reze in the hopes that he will finally get what he wants: to date a beautiful girl.
However, there’s more to Reze than meets the eye. She is not just an ordinary waitress in the Crossroads Café, looking for a guy like Denji she can fool around with. One thing leads to another, and Denji finds himself fighting the new girl he likes.
