While the wait for a Season 2 announcement is still ongoing, fans are being treated to more Chainsaw Man action in the manga. And in the latest chapter, Chainsaw Man fans believe that a beloved character has returned.
In Chapter 126, the action has picked up considerably as Denji is facing off against a fearsome new devil.
During the fight, Denji comes face to face with some of his most traumatic memories.

Power and Aki Hayakawa Make a Tearful Return
As established in the previous chapters, the Falling Devil’s power is that she can force people to relive their worst traumas. The worse the trauma is for someone, the more he/she will fall after the memory.
The Falling Devil almost got Asa Mitaka with this ability, though the intervention of Yoru helped her escape.
And before the devil can look for Asa, Denji bursts into the scene, vowing to protect his “ex-potential girlfriend.”
In the process, Denji is forced to relive his most traumatic moments, and as expected, it was of Power and Aki Hayakawa.
It’s not just Denji that’s traumatized by Power and Aki’s gruesome deaths, but fans were also affected by seeing the panel of the two in their final moments.
Thankfully, readers didn’t have to remember these moments for long thanks to Denji’s actions.
Denji reveals that he cuts up his brain as a rule when going up against devils that mess with his mind.
While this turned him stupid, it was effective in getting away from the Falling Devil’s grip.

Fans Think Kobeni Has Returned
Despite breaking free from the devil’s ability, Denji was defeated by the Falling Devil who has proved to be nigh-invincible.
As Denji lies on the ground cut in half, a mysterious character slices their hand to give Denji some blood.
It wasn’t revealed who this character is, but fans already have some theories which are being discussed on sites like Reddit.
Given the suit and the blade, some fans believe that this is Kobeni that is helping Denji. But some think otherwise given that the blade looks more like a sword than a knife.
Because of this, some think it’s Yoshida or maybe Haruka (the huge Chainsaw Man fan). Some even think it’s Kobeni’s brother.
Whoever it is, we’ll likely meet the mystery character in the next chapter.
Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long as Chainsaw Man Part 2 will continue in Chapter 127 next week.
