Chapter 99 of Chainsaw Man brings Mitaka face to face with the War Devil.
While the Devil now has control over her body, Mitaka's body is intact, so her behavior remains plausibly human.
As the War Devil reveals, she wanted to possess a member of Mitaka's school as she has information that Chainsaw Man is attending that same school incognito.
To avoid any suspicion, Mitaka later joins a demon patroling group alongside two other students - one of whom the War Devil attempted to flirt with while controlling Mitaka's body.
