Chadwick Boseman Bought 316 Underprivileged Youth Tickets To Black Panther

Black Panther is an important comic book movie. Marvel's first standalone film for the King of Wakanda (Chadwick Boseman) has been making waves in the superhero movie industry, not just because it's the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first film led by a black superhero, but also because it's the studio's first predominantly black comic book movie.

There has been a growing awareness of the value of diversity and representation, and a lot of people around the world have been celebrating Black Panther by sharing what they have so that underprivileged children of color can see themselves in the film's heroes on the big screen.

Even Boseman helped out, buying the tickets of a group of underprivileged youths to a showing of his Marvel movie. According to a report by the USA Today, the Marvel star bought 312 tickets for underprivileged children from his hometown in Anderson South Carolina, filling up the seats at a screening in Amstar theater.

But they weren't the only ones who got screenings. Four hundred sixty family members and friends of Boseman also went to see the film in two screenings at Amstar Stadium 14. Talk about family pride. But then again, with a great message and great story, Black Panther definitely deserves all the warmth its getting.

Black Panther is currently screening in cinemas.
