Now, Channelfireball Events, the official organizer of MagicFests, has tweeted an explanation to why the Grand Prix New Jersey 2019 winner didn't receive a trophy right away.

CFB Events tweeted: "Regarding the trophies at #MTGNJ - @wizards_magic ordered them but, due to circumstances out of CFB Events control, they have not arrived yet."

Despite the criticisms to one of the first MagicFests this year, MagicFest New Jersey 2019 turned out to be a success. The main event was sold out and it looks like the staff of CFB Events worked hard to give the players a memorable and fun weekend. Twitter user E.Raff has shared his positive thoughts about MagicFest New Jersey:

Of course, no event is perfect; there are clearly issues that need to be addressed but having no trophy available for the winner at the right moment kind of ruins the experience for the champion.
