At the start of the year, Netflix promised it would be releasing tons of K-content this 2023. It didn't fail to disappoint on that promise as we've seen some pretty good shows. One show that the platform surprised us with is the upcoming Castaway Diva. So when is Castaway Diva's release date? Here's what we know.
When is Castaway Diva Coming Out?

+ 6Back in June 2023, it was reported that Park Eun-bin was in the midst of filming Castaway Diva or Diva of the Deserted Island. After a few months, Netflix started teasing the public about the upcoming show.
Castaway Diva release date was Saturday, October 28, 2023.
There are a total of 12 episodes in the show. Two new episodes will be released every week until the show culminates on Sunday, Dec 03, 2023.

Who Stars in Castaway Diva?
click to enlarge + 6One of the reasons why people are excited about this show is the fact that it stars Extraordinary Attorney Woo's Park Eun-bin as the protagonist, Seo Mok-ha.
Mok-ha dreams of becoming a diva after getting rescued from an island for 15 years.
Her other cast members include the following names:
- Kim Hyo-jin as Yoon Ran-joo, a diva that Mok-ha has long idolized.
- Chase Jong-hyeop as Kang Bo-gul, the producer of the entertainment department who rescues Mok-ha.
- Cha Hak-yeon as Kang Woo-hak, the older brother of Bo-gul and a news reporter on the network.
- Kim Joo-hun as Lee Seo-joon, the former manager of Ran-joo who now works as the CEO of RJ Entertainment.
That's all we know about the cast right now, but we're looking forward to meeting the characters these actors play.
Who are the Creative Minds Behind the Scenes?
click to enlarge + 6Castaway Diva brings together the tested collaboration of director Oh Choong-hwan and screenwriter Park Hye-ryun. This is the third time the two have worked together. They previously did While You Were Sleeping in 2017 and Start-Up in 2020.
Director Oh also directed Hotel del Luna and Big Mouth.
The production companies credited for the series are Baram Pictures and Kakao Entertainment.
What is Castaway Diva About?

“A drama depicting the diva challenge of Seo Mok-ha, an aspiring singer who was rescued from a deserted island after 15 years.“
Seo Mok-ha (played by Park Eun-bin) is a girl who has been stranded on an uninhabited island for 15 years.
click to enlarge + 6Ever since she was a young girl, Mok-ha has dreamt of becoming a singer. In middle school, she went missing. Little did everyone know that she got stuck on a deserted island.
For the next 15 years, Mok-ha did everything on her own. It's a surprise how she managed to survive this long, but anything's possible.
After being rescued, she has to learn to adjust to modern society as a singer.
