Captain Marvel’s Green Costume Is Now Comic Book Canon

Marvel fans might have been a bit surprised when the first photos of Brie Larson dressed in a green Captain Marvel suit made its way online, but it looks like the verdant-looking outfit has just become canon in the Marvel Comic Book Universe.

Though the classic red-gold-and-blue costume is still the go-to in Infinity Countdown: Captain Marvel #1's preview pages, the green Captain Marvel suit that we've seen in Captain Marvel set photos has managed to make its way alongside other uniforms Carol Danvers has worn over the years.

The classic Captain Marvel Suit might stand out in the image, but it's hard to miss the green Kree outfit in the upper right corner of the picture.

Check it out down here:

Sure some fans like the Kree colors from the 60s that the costume celebrates, but a lot of fans were complaining when they saw Brie Larson in the green suit, whining that the costume wasn't canon because it wasn't in the comics.

That's going to change when Infinity Countdown: Captain Marvel #1 hits shelves next week because the costume's finally making its way to comic book canon.

This is only a sign that we're going to see more of the green and silver outfit in other Captain Marvel comic books in the future.

Avengers: Infinity War is currently screening in cinemas. Captain Marvel premieres March 8, 2019.
