Captain Marvel star Brie Larson won an MTV Movie Award last night and she brought her stunt doubles to the stage to receive the award for Best Fight.

The 29-year-old actress was joined by her stunt doubles Ingrid Kleinig and Joanna Bennett to receive the award for the on-screen fight between Carol Danvers and Gemma Chan's Minn-Erva. Larson said that "she couldn't have done it without them".

"This is so cool. First and foremost thank you MTV and thank you to the fans," Larson said. "Thank you so much for voting for this film we're so proud of but I wanted to take this moment to really say thank you to the two women that are standing here beside me. These are the women who trained me and were also the stunt doubles for Captain Marvel."

"I could not have made this film without them. They are really the baseline for who she is. They are the living embodiment of Captain Marvel."

Kleinig and Bennett thanked Larson for giving them the rare opportunity to share the award and to acknowledge the stunt community. Even though they took some of the weight, Larson previously talked about how she did rigorous training to play the role of Captain Marvel.

"I carved out nine months, and was like ‘I'm going to hit it as hard as I can and see how far I could go,'" Larson told People. "I was able to get way further than I ever thought I would ever get to in my life. I never thought I'd be able to deadlift 225lbs, never thought I could hip thrust 400lbs, I didn't even know hip thrust existed before and so that was great."

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment released Marvel's Captain Marvel on digital download on May 28, and on Ultra HD Blu-Ray and DVD on June 11.
