Captain Marvel Star Brie Larson Auditioned for Terminator and Star Wars Roles

Brie Larson is pretty awesome, isn't she? She was good in Captain Marvel, great in Room, and absolutely fantastic in Scott Pilgrim vs The World so it's hard to see why the actress has a ton of haters. Still, things seemed to have calmed down after her MCU debut, and fans are excited about the actresses' upcoming YouTube channel but it looks like we almost saw her in some other big franchises.

During her YouTube debut, Larson dropped the fact that she planned to audition for Terminator, revealing that she recently had a flat tire, which made her remember the planned audition for James Cameron's dead franchise. Larson also revealed that she auditioned for the lead role in Hunger Games, which eventually went to Jennifer Lawrence, and Star Wars, though we aren't sure if that audition was for Rey.

"I actually was thinking about the Terminator reboot today because I got a flat tire and I was like, ‘Oh the last time I got a flat tire was when I was driving into my audition for Terminator. Got a flat tire at the audition, and then didn't get the job. I auditioned for Star Wars too"

Larson is a pretty big geek as the actor's love for Nintendo shows, so knowing that she auditioned for some of the geekiest franchises out there isn't exactly a huge surprise. Still, it would have been interesting to see her in a non-Marvel franchise. Then again, considering how the Terminator movie she auditioned for was probably Genisys, it's a good thing the actress didn't go down that dark future.

It's not yet known when we'll see Brie Larson strap on her Captain Marvel boots again. We probably won't see her or any other actor in movie theaters for a long time, at least not until a cure for COVID-19 is made.
